MS Plus
Lidcombe Wellbeing Centre
Sydney
A world leading facility, designed to meet the needs and requirements of people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and other related neurological diseases, their families and friends and the professional and support teams dedicated to providing targeted diagnosis, treatments and research.
The facility provides specialist therapies and education within a non-institutionalised, comfortable client and family-friendly focused environment that has been designed to support the physical, emotional, cognitive and rehabilitation needs of those living with MS.
Biophilic design principles combined with sustainability were key drivers in the design of this facility. Integrated landscaped courtyard spaces with pavilion styled architectural forms ensure all occupants can enjoy nature from all spaces within the building which creates an environment that not only provides visual interest but fosters health and wellbeing.
Transparency and integration with expansive glazed walls permit ample natural light and nature to envelope the interior spaces blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces which is proven to elevate mood and reduce stress of occupants.
